Carole was credited as co-author on her brother John's memoir and autobiography, Anything Goes , which was published in by Michael O'Mara Books. In addition to her published collaborations, Carole Barrowman also contributed an essay about her brother John to the Hugo award winning  non-fiction anthology Chicks Dig Time Lords. The whole book, Conjuror , is based around music. Do you two have any musical talents? Carole: Yep. John has the musical talent in the family. He has a beautiful voice; as many of you will know he spent a great deal of his professional life in musical theatre in shows like Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and Anything Goes. He also does Panto most years in the UK too. John: Lots of things inspired us but the main one was wanting to bring the musical arts into our fictional world the same we way used visual art in our middle grade Hollow Earth series.
Now, after she has grown up to be a renowned academic and author, and he is one of the biggest stars of stage and screen with Doctor Who fame, they are happy to admit they are no different. And the bubbly pair agreed, despite their sometimes fiery sibling rivalry, it has been a treat to get to work on such an exciting project together. She was babysitting.
