All things big and small book
All Creatures Great and Small by James HerriotYour email address will not be published. Set in the fictional Yorkshire Dales town of Darrowby, the series offers comforting reflections of a much gentler time when life moved at a somewhat slower pace. He is assigned to the practice of Siegfried Farnon, who together with his mischievous brother Tristan already have a successful business. James undergoes a variety of adventures during his work, which are just as often caused by the characters of the county including the Farnon brothers as the animals in his care. The period is now the early Fifties, but the Dales are slow to embrace the world of tomorrow. In Moses the Kitten, Herriot tells the tale of a tiny, bedraggled kitty found tucked beside a frozen pond, who is nursed back to health on a nearby farm. From the springtime frolic of Oscar, Cat-About-Town to the yuletide warmth of The Christmas Day Kitten, these stories-radiantly illustrated by Peter Barrett and Ruth Brown-are perennial favorites, and this new complete edition will make a wonderful gift for all readers, great and small.
